“Are you sure you want to bring along those roller skates?”
“Yes! We HAVE to!”
Who would’ve expected that my daughter’s insistence to bring skates would lead us to the best park in Fort Lupton?!
Until a week ago, this wouldn’t have even been a thought. Thanks to some nice neighbors though, we have found ourselves the new owners of roller skates. Watching them attempt to learn on our sidewalk and street has been terrifying to me so when I heard about the open playground & skate park at Community Center Park, I gave in and we brought them along!

Address: 201 S Rollie Ave, Fort Lupton, CO 80621
Bathroom: There is a portable restroom available near the parking lot. You can also utilize the Community Center when it is open.
Shade: It hit 90 degrees the morning we visited! Unfortunately, not much shade outside of the covered pavilions and picnic tables.
Age Recommendations: This is a great park for all ages! The play structure is much larger than it looks with many slides and climbing options. For the little ones, be aware that there are wood chips, bridges linking the small slides to the higher parts of the play structure, and one baby swing.
The play structure is large with many ways up and down. The girls love it as it is a perfect place for a game of tag. My oldest’s favorite feature of Community Center Park are the monkey bars. They are rubber covered chains that don’t get too hot!
The Fort Lupton Skate Park is what clinches Community Center Park as our favorite of the day! While my youngest enjoys the playground, the other two have a smooth area to practice new skills. Thank you to my Dad for the helping hand!
The past months have reminded us how many activities there are that don’t require touching other people or shared equipment. What new activities has your family tried? Bringing it back old school with some roller skate action!
The final touch making this the best park in Fort Lupton, is the TimberForm Fitness Route! A long path surrounds the playground and Community Center with stations like the one pictured below. It is a great way to get some exercise outside while the indoor gyms are closed!
While you’re in Fort Lupton, check out the newly updated Cannery Park as well as the colorful Koshio Park!
Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine! Now it’s time to get out there and PLAY!
