Visit Hyland Hills: Top 4 Activities for a Summer to Remember!
Cool off on a water slide, race your friends in a go-kart, enjoy a picnic at the park, design the perfect summer for your family! To help out with some ideas, here are four activities to make the most out of your summer in Hyland Hills…

#1 Discover Adventure Golf and Raceway!
For most of my life in Colorado, I thought Adventure Golf was just mini golf! Guess what…it’s not! There are actually many activities to do at Adventure Golf and Raceway, including mini golf (3 different themed courses), Go-Karts, ropes course, bumper cars and a maze!
A few notes and tips for your visit…
☀️ Each attraction has a price, however, if you want to do multiple things, you can bundle and save. Not only that but there is an Ultimate Adventure pass that gives you unlimited attractions.
☀️ Make the Adventure Maze a race in your family with timed entry/exit! You get a postcard at the start and within the maze are spots to punch it with the letters G-O-L-D.
☀️ The Go-Karts line took the longest so either go there first or keep an eye on it between activities. If you get the unlimited pass, it’s a great option while others in the group do the ropes course.
☀️ The ropes course is no joke! 48” tall is the minimum but it is easier once they are taller. The harness is different from other places we’ve tried where you need to reach up above you to twist the bracket and go to the next obstacle – not easy if you aren’t tall enough or have issues with balance. 😉
☀️ Mini golf was the most popular, but there are three different courses so you can go to whichever has the shortest line. The holes are themed with pirate ships, airplane crash sites and more. All ages will love the sites along the course!
#2 Play at the Parks!
Hyland Hills manages many parks and playgrounds in the Westminster/Hyland Hills, Arvada and N Denver areas and we’d recommend a whole bunch of them for your family! A few favorites are Clear Creek Valley Park, Big Dry Creek Park, Westfield Village Park and the recently updated Waddell Park. Here are more details on our top three parks in Hyland Hills District:

#3 Cool Off at Water World!
Water World has been one of my favorite places in Colorado since I was a kid, and I am blessed to be able to share this love with my kids! With there being so many attractions, for the last few years, we have purchased season passes – it is just too much to see in only one day.
For the more adventurous, there are super high slides and the Mile High Flyer, a hydromagnetic watercoaster, and for the very young, there is a separate area “Wally World” designed for tots and their parents to enjoy.
A few notes before you go:
☀️ All tickets include unlimited use of ALL amazing attractions and free parking. “Tots” (children under 40″) receive a FREE ticket and there are also discounted rates for children 40-47″ and seniors.
☀️ You can bring in food! Check the website for restrictions but, as summer can become expensive quickly with all of the sports and activities, I appreciate that we can take in a picnic lunch.
☀️ If you don’t want to haul in a picnic, there are also many food, dessert and even some areas for adult-only beverages, throughout the water park. We have definitely been known to stop for some ice cream on those hot days!

#4 Dance the Night Away at Summer Concerts!
Our family absolutely loves concerts in the park and we’re excited to add the Hyland Hills Concert Series to the list! Concerts take place at Clear Creek Valley Park, are FREE to attend, and have food and beverages to make it a fun date night or family night out.
Do you have a favorite Hyland Hills activity? Shout it out in the comments below and we’ll add it to the list!
