Address: 2701 E Yale Ave, Denver, CO 80210

Bathroom: Yes, there is a small restroom building. The facility was clean, however, even on a sunny day, it was very dark inside with no changing table.

Shade: There are shaded picnic tables, not much shade over the playground.

Surface: Combination of rubber surfacing, colored turf, sand and wood chips.

Looking for another fantastic new playground in the Denver area? Check out Bible Park and its dual slide towers!

  • Please be aware, the picture above shows how close a ditch is to the playground. Keep an eye on your little ones to make sure they stay nearby.

Age Recommendations: Equipment at the new McWilliams Park is designed for ages 2 to 12, however, the large play structure has small openings so taller kids may have trouble getting to the top. Toddlers will love the dinosaur, sandbox and swings.

Inclusive Features: The area with the dragon and swings is covered by rubber surfacing and turf making it easily accessible for all. There are two chair swings and easy entry to the sandbox.

Swings: You will find 2 chair swings and 1 tire swing at McWilliams Park. There are no traditional belt or baby swings.

Water Features: None.

Unique Features of McWilliams Park

Thank you Denver Parks and Recreation for this wonderful panoramic picture of McWilliams Park! As you can see, they utilized red turf to create the fire-breathing purple dinosaur/dragon and colored dots in the rubber surface to show play elements.

The new play structure is great with its geometrical shapes and different levels. There is a tall spiral slide and dual steep slides. Off to the side of the structure are climbing elements and rings, and there is a rubber hammock below.

Surrounding Area Highlights

The park is a great stop on your family bike ride along E Harvard Gulch Trail!

Next to the playground is a new half-sized basketball court and area for playing four square.
