Swing into Space at Westmoor Park in Greeley!
After a full day of touring playgrounds, we almost missed one of the best, Westmoor Park in Greeley! Luckily, I happened to be chatting with another parent at Aven’s Village playground (definite must see as well) and she recommended we go to “the spaceship park”. The kids were dragging with exhaustion, but the minute they spotted the swing zipline, they took off running! Aven’s Village at Island Grove Park is a must see playground in Greeley too! 3 Reasons We NEED Our Playgrounds Back!
April 27th through May 1st is National Playground Safety Week and, unfortunately, comes at a time when we are not able to go visit any. 🙁 This COVID-19 Stay at Home order and #socialdistancing is tough on everyone, but I see the struggle often in our children. Just months ago, they would’ve been playing with friends at recess, interacting at school and, as often as we could, going to playgrounds. This post is sponsored by Voice of Play, but opinions expressed are my own. The longer we have to stay away, the more I am realizing the benefits that playgrounds provided. As described on Voice of Play, these are just…

Loveland’s Dwayne Webster Park (aka “the Cannon Park”)
The City of Loveland has a goal to replace playgrounds every 10 years and in 2019, Dwayne Webster Veterans Park was a recipient! With it’s great location along Eisenhower, looking across at Lake Loveland, it is a perfect place to meet up with friends. If you’re meeting someone from Loveland, don’t be surprised if they call it the “cannon park” though because of the cannon just to the north of the play area. Fly with Peter Pan in Westminster!
Any time I’ve asked a group about parks to visit, Westminster Center Park or “The Peter Pan Park” comes up. Because of its easy to find location, splash park and fun theme, it’s a favorite among many. I love the attention to detail, making this truly feel like London and the world of Peter Pan. Address: 4801 W 92nd Ave, Westminster, CO 80031 Bathroom/Shade: There is a bathroom building so bring along a lunch and stay for a while. Limited shade over the play structures but there is more under pavilions and nearby trees. This post may contain affiliate links and while we may earn compensation when you click on…
