3…2…1…Blast Off at Quail Crossing Park in Westminster!
For all of your little future astronauts, you have got to make a quick trip to Westminster, Colorado! Quail Crossing Park is a small playground in a neighborhood just off of 136th & Huron, but it will bring your kiddos so much joy!
WHERE IS IT?? First off, I will mention that I have found THREE different addresses for this park! The most accurate (that I got from standing right where you park) is here. If you just find the park on your phone maps, it may take you a block east of where you need to be – the clue is if you end up in a culdesac staring at a bunch of grass, you need to go a block west to get to the playground 😉
I absolutely love when a theme is portrayed through the entire playground and this park is no exception! There is the mission control pad, flames coming out of the slides, even the flooring under the swings makes you feel like you’re flying through space!
This park may not take up a large area, but within the space shuttle, there are 3 different slides, including a covered one THREE stories high!
What to know: There are no bathrooms and very little shade. Your kids will absolutely love this park but make sure to make a bathroom stop prior to arriving (there is a nearby Dunkin Donuts and Walmart 😉 ).
Also note that the slides and spaceship disc are all dark blue and get hot so try to get there early or on a cloudy day!
