The Best Park in Castle Rock will Astonish!

The picture above does not do justice to the awesomeness that leads me to saying Deputy Zach S Parrish III Memorial Park is the best park in Castle Rock! Not only is there a huge play structure with ninja warrior style obstacles high overhead, there are also climbing features, swings, a toddler play area, zipline and so much more. Believe me when I say, this park will take your kids’ breath away! Introducing the Best Park in Superior!

No offense to the other playgrounds nearby, but the girls have decided that Wildflower Park is the “best park in Superior”! With our current environment of social distancing, the first thing I noticed was the size of the play area – it’s huge! Each element is separated allowing families to spread out if needed, but aside from distancing, it also gives it that open feel perfect for enjoying a Colorado day! Northmoor Sensory Playground (and a bonus playground too!)

You may read this title and think “What makes a playground a sensory playground?” Or, maybe your child needs a sensory playground and you’ve been searching for more options. This was a new term for me a few years ago, here’s what I found… A sensory playground provides a solution for children on the spectrum.  Specifically designed to meet their needs, a sensory playground offers ASD children the type of sensory input they’re most comfortable with, while fostering enhanced motor skills, balance and coordination. Fun Factory Sensory Gym There are many aspects that make up a sensory playground, including more space between equipment, areas/panels for individual play, and a focus…

Blue Heron Park Delights with its Lake Views and New Playgrounds!

Have you heard of Blue Heron Park? I hadn’t! We have readers from across Colorado so I’ve been researching new playgrounds in cities far from my own. In the process, I had the pleasure of speaking with someone from Foothills Parks and Recreation District a few months ago. She alerted me to two playgrounds updated in 2019 at Christensen Meadows Park and Blue Heron Park. So, what were we to do? Go visit both of course! Have You Been to the Lafayette Chicken Park?!

My daughters and I love Silver Creek Park (or most well known as “the chicken park”) in Lafayette, Colorado! With its adorable scavenger hunt, long zipline and so much more, it is a favorite park for all in the area. Honestly, the only reason we don’t spend more time there is because there is no bathroom πŸ˜‰ Address: 612-566 Starline Ave, Lafayette, CO 80026 This poultry farm-themed park was inspired by the previous owners of the property, the Nuoci family. There is a plaque at the entrance along with the historic grain mixer from their farm, noting “one of the region’s largest poultry farms from 1920 to 1978.” I enjoy…

This Broomfield Park is Perfect for the Little Ones!

I get asked all the time about park recommendations and hands down, this is my FAVORITE if you have small children (under age 6). It is called Crofton Park! It was completely redone a few years ago so the equipment is beautiful and made with such attention to detail! Address: 3432 W 125th Dr, Broomfield, CO 80020 Only downside is that there isn’t a bathroom nearby so might not be the place to go when potty training, unless you’re taking one of these along πŸ˜‰ Unique Features: The park has so many unique features with my favorite being the building blocks instead of ladders or stairs. They’ve also made such…
