Hidden Bear Hug Playground at Downtown Superior Park

We have found the most adorable play structure at the Downtown Superior Park! My kids have named this the “bear hug park” and I think it’s perfect. Though it is a small park, your kids (especially the young ones) will love climbing through the tree, sliding down the hill and playing in the water! Address: S Marshall Rd, Superior, CO 80027 This area currently is surrounded by a lot of construction and the playground sits lower than the road so it may be hard…

Central Park in Denver, the Perfect Blend of Old and New!

If you’ve been to Central Park in Denver before, you’ll recognize a few elements in that newly refurbished playground! The triple bouncer near the entrance, “supernova” spinner and giant climbable boulders were all kept from the original design. If you loved the old purple hills, there are new turf-covered hills that give that same feel without the wear and tear! The play equipment provides something for everyone and all ages will have a blast enjoying the new Central Park! This park review is sponsored by the Neighborhood Art Studio, the ultimate destination for your child to unleash their creativity this summer. Enroll your child in summer art camps and watch them…

Sandstone Ranch: Adventure Playground and Wheels Park

Upon entering Sandstone Ranch Park, you are greeted with a sign sharing that it is an “Adventure Playground and Wheels Park”. What a fun sounding experience ahead! Our first few times visiting Sandstone Ranch were for our school’s 100 Mile Club. The 0.7 mile path was perfect to get in some extra miles, but it was the promise of the “cow and turtle playground” that got the girls moving. As you’ll see below, the park is not only home to traditional playground equipment, it also has a farm themed toddler area, splash pad and skate park! Have You Been to the Lafayette Chicken Park?!

My daughters and I love Silver Creek Park (or most well known as “the chicken park”) in Lafayette, Colorado! With its adorable scavenger hunt, long zipline and so much more, it is a favorite park for all in the area. Honestly, the only reason we don’t spend more time there is because there is no bathroom 😉 Address: 612-566 Starline Ave, Lafayette, CO 80026 This poultry farm-themed park was inspired by the previous owners of the property, the Nuoci family. There is a plaque at the entrance along with the historic grain mixer from their farm, noting “one of the region’s largest poultry farms from 1920 to 1978.” I enjoy…

Fly with Peter Pan in Westminster!

Any time I’ve asked a group about parks to visit, Westminster Center Park or “The Peter Pan Park” comes up. Because of its easy to find location, splash park and fun theme, it’s a favorite among many. I love the attention to detail, making this truly feel like London and the world of Peter Pan. Address: 4801 W 92nd Ave, Westminster, CO 80031 Bathroom/Shade: There is a bathroom building so bring along a lunch and stay for a while. Limited shade over the play structures but there is more under pavilions and nearby trees. This post may contain affiliate links and while we may earn compensation when you click on…

This Louisville Park Has a Bit of Everything!

I’ll be honest, I don’t enjoy splash pad parks that much as a parent. I think one of the girls slipped once and maybe I am carrying some irrational fears about the slippery concrete? I’m not sure. It’s also a lot more to plan for…you can’t just jump in the car and go…towels…wet car seats… Anyone else with me? I realized though that I was being kind of a baby about it so I promised the girls we’d find one. We ended up that day at Louisville Community Park and it was a great place to spend a couple hours with friends! Address: 955 Bella Vista Dr, Louisville, CO 80027…
