Rain or Shine, It’s Always a Great Day to Take Your Family Golfing at X-Golf!

If you live in Colorado, you know that the weather can be unpredictable, and not only that, the cold days can get extremely cold and the hot days can just about melt you! That is why we love checking out places to play together as a family INDOORS too! Our most recent find is X-Golf, an indoor golf facility that allows you to play real courses with your clubs and a large screen – perfect for some quick practice or a group event.

This article was sponsored by X-Golf, Colorado’s home for indoor golf! No matter the weather outside, it’s always sunny and 70 degrees at X-Golf. Book your tee time today!

X-Golf Colorado Locations

Our family has always enjoyed activities together, but recently we have taken a deep interest in golf! We were set up with a tee time by X-Golf Fort Collins and the next two and a half hours flew by.

Each bay (about 7 per location) is reserved by the hour and is great for a group of up to 6 players. With kids, you are unlikely to play an 18-hole game, or even a full 9-holes, but you can still play for as long as you’d like on one of the golf courses offered. We chose some Hawaii vibes and played the Princeville Golf Course on Kauai.

In addition to the simulation bays, there is also an area designated for putting. That was where we kept finding our 9 year old. 😉

What If We Have Never Golfed?

X-Golf is the perfect place to try out golfing for the first time! You can bring along your own clubs or they have sets to rent while you’re there. You’ll be off to a nice start as the simulation begins with a driving range and there are staff available to help you learn the various buttons to get a new ball, raise/lower the tee and angle your shot. You can also schedule time with a PGA instructor for a quick review or full lessons.

I love X-Golf for families with younger kids because while it isn’t your turn, there are couches to relax as well as food and drink to enjoy. Waiting and walking a real golf course is a whole different story with little ones!

For those of you that are looking to improve your game, the technology at X-Golf is state of the art. According to their website, “This new technology measures not only the motion vector of the golf ball but also the movement of the golf club, such as path, angle of attack, trajectory and velocity. This allow us to perfectly replicate the golf ball’s flight laws of physics (Draw, fade, hook, slice).”

Did I Mention the Food & Drinks?

A full bar is available at X-Golf, as well as a reasonably priced menu. They offer a range of items like mac and cheese bites (our family favorite!), chicken fingers, 16 inch pizza, and even offer a breakfast sandwich for those morning tee times. If you’re looking for more of a meal, they partner with local businesses nearby, such as Bad Daddy’s Burgers, perfect for a lunch meeting or happy hour!

The next time you’re planning a day with family or hour hour with friends and coworkers, think of X-Golf! Keep an eye on their website for events and ask about their kid courses, tournaments and summer camps.

Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine. Now it’s time to get out there and PLAY!
