Farmstead Park is a fantastic playground for your little ones! We love that it is tucked into a quiet neighborhood with SHADE, has rubber surfacing (no wood chips or sand to deal with) and is adorably farm themed! In addition to the large barn structure, it has a bulldozer for toddlers, telescope above and, best of all, a scavenger hunt!

Arvada’s very first park, McIlvoy Park, received a new playground in 2023! At first glance, it has a more traditional look with slides, swings, and ladders, but there are elements that set it apart that your kids will love! Some of these unique features include a scavenger hunt, Arvada-themed panels and a separate play structure for ages 6 to 23 months.
You’ll even learn a bit of local history while you’re visiting! There are panels on the paths surrounding the park that highlight Arvada history, like the 1916 beginning of McIlvoy Park, and the home to the Arvada Historical Society is just south of the playground.

The “bouncing tractor park” has been a favorite in our family for a few years now. Britton Park has wonderful farm-themed equipment (mainly for the under age 8 crowd) spread across two play areas. Your children will love climbing in and around the barn/chicken coop, driving and hiding in the tractor, and riding the bouncy horses.

We recommend Meadowlake Park for a number of reasons! The first being that it is delightfully lake-themed with fun colors, lily pad shades and turtle bouncer. Secondly, and maybe more important depending on the day, is that there are large shade trees. Finally, there is a scavenger hunt to keep the kids running from one end of the play area to the other. This will be a fun-filled stop whether you have a few minutes or all afternoon.

As one of the most recently updated playgrounds in Arvada, Rainbow East (sometimes called Rainbow III Park) is a great park to visit. The jungle theme is well done with a gorilla, jungle cat, elephant slides and alligator!
