Colorado-inspired Free Indoor Playground

Don’t you love places to take the kids that don’t cost anything?! Let me introduce you to the NEW indoor play area at the APEX Center in Arvada!

Address: 13150 W 72nd Ave, Arvada, CO 80005

Age Recommendation: The website recommends ages 1-10, however, I think kids over age 7 may be too tall for most of the features. This is the perfect place to take your young walkers to Kindergarten-age children!

If your child is in that one to three year age, there’s a special place just for the “Tots”. It has very small spinners, musical boards and even a memory game (think of the SIMON game from growing up).

Unique Features: There are so many great aspects to this Arvada playground! The Colorado theme runs throughout with a moose to greet you, kayak to take a ride down the river, and a snow capped mountain slide.

Most unique feature of all goes to the Pogo game! There were side by side pogo poles where children could jump, collect points and watch the strength of their bounce. There wasn’t a kid there that didn’t have a huge smile as they tried to pogo their way to higher scores!

The playground includes much more to keep your child entertained and active. You’ll find ropes, platforms, and two slides that take you from the top level to the middle level. My five year old liked the (spiral, covered) “pitch black slide!” most of all.

Good to know: All children must be accompanied by an adult and no food or beverages are allowed inside the play area. We brought snacks and enjoyed them right outside the room, overlooking the incredible pools!

There’s always the option to make a full day of it and enjoy all that the APEX Center has to offer. With it’s huge pool area (includes giant tube slide, whirlpool, and shallow play area) and ice skating rink, your family will have hours of fun! To help you plan your adventure, check out full APEX Center hours and prices here.

Where is your favorite to take the kids on cold, winter days? Leave us a comment and maybe we’ll head there next!
