Bathroom: Yes, there is a bathroom building. It may not be open during the winter season.
Shade: Yes! There are large shade panels over a few spots of play as you can see from the pictures. A rare find here in Colorado!
Surface: We love that Willow Bend Park has a combination of rubber surfacing and turf.
Age Recommendations: All! There is truly something for all ages here. Check out the Unique Features section below to see what makes Willow Bend Park so special!
Inclusive Features: Where do I begin?! The rubber surfacing helps with easy mobility, there are accessible swings, chair zipline, merry go round, and so many sensory play areas. There is also a small roller bar slide that helps those with cochlear implants (because it does not make the static electricity like a typical plastic slide.)
Swings: As you can see below, there are a variety of swings. Traditional belt and toddler swings, but also chair options and parent-and-me swings!
Water Features: None.
I may not know what to call this feature, but I can tell you from experience that it is FUN! It is a twirling set of three swings. Similar to a zipline feel, can be done with 1 or 2 friends, swings in, out, and around…it’s a winner in our book!
Willow Bend Park is an all inclusive park, meaning that it is designed for all ages and abilities in mind. There are many features with easy access points for those needing extra help with mobility, including a wheelchair accessible merry-go-round, low entry seated seesaw, and ramps. It has many sensory panels at low height and places where a kid can step away for quieter play. There was a lot of thought put into accessibility throughout the park’s design.
Your kids will not get bored here! There are two ziplines, one shown below and one as a chair. You’ll also find a large play structure, hillside elements, and so much more!
Not only does Willow Bend Park have this amazing playground, it is also home to the Willow Bend Natural Area with ponds, trails, and outdoor recreation. These incredible carvings can be found along the way!
There’s a basketball court too so don’t forget to take your basketball!
