Although this playground is located near E-470 and University, you’d never know that just a few blocks in, you’ll find this incredible park in Centennial! As you’ll see below, Arapaho Park is the perfect spot for your next family outing, including the older kids and grandparents. There is shade, a large play area and multiple sport options,, there’s even a bathroom! We went right after record breaking snow, which goes to show you that Colorado playgrounds are wonderful year round. 😉

Address: 7800 S Adams St, Centennial, CO 80122
Bathroom: Yes! There is a restroom building near the tennis courts.
Shade: Yes! In addition to the large pavilion shown below, there are also huge trees both around and through the middle of the playground.
Looking for another playground nearby? Check out Writers Vista Park in Littleton, only 10 minutes away!
Age Recommendations: All! The older children will LOVE the large play structure and tall slides. The younger ages will be torn between the play structure, musical instruments and the playhouse.
Swings: There are 2 traditional swings, 1 baby swing and 1 accessible chair swing.
Water Features: None.
While we’ve seen structures similar (check out these 14 tallest slides in Colorado!), it is definitely unique for the area. The structure boasts two tall covered slides, one steep open slide and a tunnel off of the highest level!
Arapaho Park has a variety of musical instruments from Freenotes Harmony Park allowing more than one child to play at a time. We love features like this added to a playground for both sensory purposes and inclusiveness.
A couple other favorite, unique features are shown below. The “pogo stick” actually bounces and my daughter loved jumping up and down on it. The second picture shows a fun word picture game that kids can try figuring out on the way up to the slides. Table + spoon = tablespoon! Cat + R + Pillar = Caterpillar!
Not only will you find the fantastic playground at Arapaho Park in Centennial, you’ll also discover a full basketball court, two tennis courts and horseshoe pits! It truly is a park the whole family will enjoy.

Looks like an exciting place for kids as well as adults. Loved the musical instrument section. The rides look great for kids. The whole atmosphere beams in the bright and fun rides and the music in the air is an add-on. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to visit Arapaho Park.
