Best Park in Louisville for Your Active Family

Heritage Park is the best park in Louisville, Colorado for your sport-loving family! As you’ll see below, there are all kinds of amenities at the park like sand volleyball, basketball and large grassy field for play. Add in the adorable playground and you will have something for everyone! The location was peaceful (with squirrels everywhere!) that will be enjoyed all year long.

We love the natural colors and treehouse feel!

Heritage Park Logistics

Bathroom: There is a bathroom building and water fountain available during the summer months. We did not see an option for the off season so plan accordingly. 😉

Shade: YES! There are huge trees providing shade over some of the playground. You will also find a large pavilion with four tables and multiple umbrella’d tables.

Age Recommendations: The large play structure has everything from toddler slides to monkey bars and a steep tall slide. I recommend this playground for kids up to age 10, however, with the additional sports available, you whole family will have fun here!

Unique Features

The large play structure gives a treehouse feel and the natural colors are pleasing to everyone. What makes it unique? There is a tunnel connecting the toddler slides to the main structure, a straight ladder is the only way to get to the highest level and it has monkey bars attached on the other side. There is also a disc swing available and a large area of rubber surfaced bumps along the side to run around or jump across.

My youngest loves the curved balance beam and next time we come we’ll be bringing some sand toys for the large sandbox!

Surrounding Area Highlights

With the peaceful location and so many activities, Heritage is one of the best parks in Louisville. You’ll find a sand volleyball court, baseball field, basketball courts and huge grassy field! Take along your favorite sport equipment and a lunch and it’ll turn into the best day!
