Swing into Space at Westmoor Park in Greeley!
After a full day of touring playgrounds, we almost missed one of the best, Westmoor Park in Greeley! Luckily, I happened to be chatting with another parent at Aven’s Village playground (definite must see as well) and she recommended we go to “the spaceship park”. The kids were dragging with exhaustion, but the minute they spotted the swing zipline, they took off running! Aven’s Village at Island Grove Park is a must see playground in Greeley too! Sandstone Ranch: Adventure Playground and Wheels Park
Upon entering Sandstone Ranch Park, you are greeted with a sign sharing that it is an “Adventure Playground and Wheels Park”. What a fun sounding experience ahead! Our first few times visiting Sandstone Ranch were for our school’s 100 Mile Club. The 0.7 mile path was perfect to get in some extra miles, but it was the promise of the “cow and turtle playground” that got the girls moving. As you’ll see below, the park is not only home to traditional playground equipment, it also has a farm themed toddler area, splash pad and skate park! Unique Play Experience at Sugar Beet Park!
I was intrigued when a friend mentioned Sugar Beet Park in Fort Collins, Colorado. I had no idea what a sugar beet was, let alone how they’d design a playground around it! What we found was an extremely well done park design giving homage to the history of Fort Collins. It is like visiting an outdoor museum!
