Lilley Gulch Park and its Colorado-themed Adventure!

If you’re looking for a fun way for your kids to learn about Colorado, take a trip to Lilley Gulch Park! With the Mt Everest climbing bars, local animal tracks and Gold Rush map, your little ones will get some hometown history as they play. There is a reason I’m writing this in January though…there is no shade making it a tough spot during the summer, but perfect for the winter!

There is so much to be discovered about Colorado at Lilley Gulch Park! Signs show Mt Elbert (the highest peak), Columbine (state flower), Lark Bunting (state bird), Sand Dunes, Coyote Den and the Colorado flag. There is also a “Trail to Gold” map showing many of the gold locations and even a gold miner cut out for posing!

I love the challenging monkey bars at the Columbine marker and that there is a sandbox representing the famous Sand Dunes!
