Last week took us on a search for the best parks in Aurora and boy did we find one! Central Park at the Farm is practically unknown and didn’t even show up on my phone’s map. This playground needs to be known and, if you’re in the area, you really need to check it out!
Keep reading to see why we loved it so much, even if only to see the picture of the massive rope climbing structure!

Address: 6588 S Waco St, Aurora, CO 80016
Bathroom: Yes! There is a single stall bathroom with sink and changing table.
Shade: There are shade tents over the two play structures, but most of the playground is unshaded.
Surface: Wood chips and small section of rubber surfacing.
Love the sunglasses we’re always wearing? It’s time to get a pair for yourself! goodr sunglasses are great quality, inexpensive, polarized and don’t slip off while running!
Age Recommendations: This is a park that your littles and bigs will love! The younger ages have their own section of the playground with small obstacles and merry go round. My older kids fell in love with the giant climbing rope structure (scroll down to the Unique Features section to see)!
Inclusive Features: There is rubber surfacing in a small section of the playground that includes an accessible merry go round and disc-shaped swing. There is also a chair swing but it is in the wood chips.
Swings: 1 chair swing, 1 disc swing, 2 baby swings and 5 traditional belt swings.
Water Features: None.
All I have to say is look at the picture below!! This rope/obstacle structure was where my kids spent the majority of their time at Central Park at the Farm and is the main reason I think it is one of the best parks in Aurora! Look at all of those places to climb! It is fun for the challenge but they also turned it into a giant game of “House” where everyone had their own section/room.
Some other unique elements at this playground were the disc swing, large multi-person spinner and 4-person seesaw!
Central Park at the Farm is a destination and has something for everyone! Right next to the playground is a Gaga Ball court so bring along some friends and ball to play with.
There are also tennis courts, pickleball courts, a full basketball court, baseball field and a large grass field for frisbee or kite flying!
Want to visit another of the best parks in Aurora? Check out Red-tailed Hawk Park with its inclusive playground and fun-filled splash pad!
Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine. Now it’s time to get out there and PLAY!

The reason you didn't find it on a map is because the park is paid for by residents of the Farm's HOA dues
I live maybe 10mins from this park and I love it. I was curious if there is a way to rent out the picnic area for a baby shower or is that not allowed. Completely understand if it isn't allowed or not an option.
It is true that it is an amazing park!
There are two other great hidden gem playgrounds down the road from this one. Definitely recommend any of them!
