The picture above does not do justice to the awesomeness that leads me to saying Deputy Zach S Parrish III Memorial Park is the best park in Castle Rock! Not only is there a huge play structure with ninja warrior style obstacles high overhead, there are also climbing features, swings, a toddler play area, zipline and so much more. Believe me when I say, this park will take your kids’ breath away!

Address: 2020 Fiddle Rd, Castle Rock, CO 80109
Bathroom: There are portable restrooms available onsite.
Shade: Some. There is a lot of open play space uncovered, however, the large play structure provides its own shade and there is a long pavilion of shaded tables.
Don’t forget to take along some of our park favorites!
Looking for another playground with high obstacles? Check out Hampden Run in Aurora!
Age Recommendations: All! And when I say all, I mean it! There is a separate play structure for younger ages and the high obstacles will be a thrill for all the older kids. My daughters insisted and even got their grandparents to go up with them!
*My only disclaimer is that this is a truly large playground so you’ll stay busy keeping your little ones in sight all the time. 😉
Swings: You will find 4 traditional swings, 1 baby swing, 1 accessible chair swing and one “parent and me” swing.
Water Features: None.

The large play structure will immediately catch your eye before you get out of the car, and then your kids will take off running toward it! There are a variety of ways up, obstacles across and multiple slides to come down. I was hesitant, but even I had to try it out…it was HIGH!
There are many features spread across the park, everything from curved balance beams to a rope pyramid to a zipline. (Unfortunately, the zipline was under repair when we visited – we’d love to see your pictures if it is fixed!)
“This park celebrates the life and service of Zach Parrish III (February 21, 1988 – December 31, 2017). He was a guardian of this community who served as both a Castle Rock Police Officer and a Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy. He was a dedicated husband, father and protector. We will be forever grateful for his service and sacrifice.”
To pay tribute to Deputy Parrish and the many members of the Castle Rock Police and Douglas County Sheriff’s department, there are lighted steel columns, a reflective garden and a glowing blue concrete band. It is a beautiful memorial for all to visit.
There are pickle ball courts, bocce ball courts, horseshoe pits, cornhole boards, and an area for either hammocks or slacklines. Don’t forget to bring along your favorite equipment!
