We sure love themed playgrounds and recently came across this dinosaur park in Boulder, Colorado (otherwise known as East Boulder Community Park). An older playground with well used equipment, but by far the favorite stop of the day for our girls. With the large T-Rex watching from the middle of the play area, it brings out imagination galore.

Address: 5660 Sioux Dr, Boulder, CO 80303
Bathroom: The playground is near the East Boulder Community Center, however if that is closed, we spotted a portable option near the basketball courts.
Shade: As you can see from the photo above, there are some large trees surrounding the edges of the playground. Depending on the season and time of day, those trees will definitely help provide shade! Otherwise, there are 4 covered picnic tables near the entrance.
Age Recommendations: This dinosaur park in Boulder covers a large space with both a toddler play structure and large square structure. I would recommend toddler (old enough to not eat the gravel) to age 10. That being said, there are not many thrilling aspects so it depends on the 10 year old. 😉
The giant T-Rex is (of course) the most unique feature of this playground! It was larger than I expected and every child loved climbing on it, pretending to be eaten by it and running away from it. Additionally, there are small bouncing dinosaurs to bring more dino-fun.
My older girls (ages 9 and 12) enjoyed everything they could hang from. There were swinging bar monkey bars, a very thick single bar, gymnastic-like bars and a working glider!
My girls loved their time at this dinosaur park in Boulder, mainly spent playing different versions of tag. The large play structure is in the shape of a square with multiple slides, bouncing bridges, monkey bars and more making it perfect for all to play.
The surrounding area is gorgeous!!! With the Boulder Flatirons in the distance and beautiful lake nearby, it was peaceful and a perfect spot to enjoy Colorado. In addition to the playground, there are many other options to play – basketball, sand volleyball, baseball, tennis, soccer, squash and the East Boulder Community Center. And don’t forget to bring your pups along to enjoy the large East Boulder Dog Park!
