We have found the most adorable play structure at the Downtown Superior Park! My kids have named this the ābear hug parkā and I think itās perfect. Though it is a small park, your kids (especially the young ones) will love climbing through the tree, sliding down the hill and playing in the water!

Address: S Marshall Rd, Superior, CO 80027 This area currently is surrounded by a lot of construction and the playground sits lower than the road so it may be hard to spot. Park in the lot at the intersection of Marshall Road and Creek View Way.
Bathroom: Yes, there is a restroom building near the parking lot (across the street from playground).
Shade: None.
Surface: It is a rubber surface that almost resembles wood chips. We liked the bouncy feel to the ground but it does break off in little pieces as it wears (warning for parents of crawlers š ).
Age Recommendations: For the play structure, Iād say up to age 8 would be perfect. The entrance to the slide is very small and there arenāt many things for older kids to do. **The only caveat to this recommendation is that the flooring is made up of these rubber shreds. If you have a crawling child that likes to put things in their mouth, keep a close watch as a lot has flaked off (likely from the recent storms).
Inclusive Features: The rubber surfacing makes accessibility easier and there is a xylophone for all to enjoy.
Swings: None.
Water Features: Yes! There is a running water creek that is turned on by pushing a button near the top. There are three places you can start/stop the flow of water and itās so much fun!
The entire playground is unique starting with the bear-shaped play structure! Make it extra fun by giving your little ones the following list of items to find in a Scavenger Hunt:
Thereās even a bell inside that they can ring once all items have been found! Donāt miss that there are flaps behind the bearās eyes so they can look through them and ābe the bearā š

Also at the Downtown Superior Park is this cement slide, wide enough for a group of friends to go down together.
This area of Superior is quite new and is becoming a fantastic place to get outside. The path nearby is the Coal Creek Trail making it a great stop on a family bike ride.
There are lit fields for sports to the east of the playground and a gorgeous view of the Colorado foothills.
Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine. Now itās time to get out there and PLAY!
