First things first, you do not need to be a Girl Scout to visit DreamLab so keep on reading! 🙂 In March of 2023, the first “DreamLab” opened in Denver, Colorado in the Lowry neighborhood. Designed as a resource for the community, there are open hours for all kids to explore the STEM lab, camping area, climbing wall and more. It is also a fantastic spot to find STEM-related gifts for the kids in your family! Thank you to Girl Scouts of Colorado for creating this amazing resource for our community.
This article was sponsored by Girl Scouts of Colorado and the incredible new DreamLab! The DreamLab is a flexible space where girls of all backgrounds and experiences can have fun with purpose. This is a showplace of the Girl Scout experience in action. Anyone is warmly invited to visit, to take some selfies, to record a podcast, do a STEM activity or just hang out. Explore all there is to do and learn at the DreamLab.
Address: 63 N Quebec St, Denver, CO 80224
Girl Scouts of Colorado created DreamLab for everyone! During open visiting hours, all are welcome regardless of age or gender, not just those involved in Girl Scouts. In addition to the play areas shown below, there are often additional activities (free and paid) available. Bookmark this page for all upcoming activities.
Drop in hours are currently Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 12-6 p.m. For the most up to date information or questions, give DreamLab a call at 303-607-4816.
The space at DreamLab is reservable by Girl Scout troops, however, there are many hours it is open to everyone. There are activities throughout the space, including the indoor camping area below. In the cubbies you will find play camping items to set up, play sticks with marshmallows to “cook” over the fire, and rope tying kits.
Toward the back of the DreamLab space is the “ColLABoration Station”, perfect for hands-on activities like making slime, water-based experiments and other get messy activities. My daughters could not have been more excited to see this space!
There are different activities to try and the day we visited, they had a bug identification lab ready to go. To get started, the girls actually took nets outside to find bugs to view, identify and discuss. Lucky for us, the grasshoppers and roly-polys were out and ready!
Near the front of DreamLab is a climbing wall! It requires a signed waiver and it was high enough to give my almost nine-year-old a challenge.
Another great spot to check out at DreamLab is the Podcast booth! Make sure to subscribe to their podcast channel “The Courage, Confidence and Character Podcast”. Maybe your recorded clip will be featured!
Not only are there daily activities and play areas at DreamLab, there are also monthly themes and Family Fun community events. October’s event will be all about “STEM Careers” and November covers “Supporting Your Community”. Check out DreamLab’s event page for all upcoming Family Fun days!
