Address: 5222 Quaker St, Golden, CO 80403

Bathroom: Yes, there is a bathroom building as well as a portable.

Shade: Huge trees provide shade (and climbing!) around the park. There is not much shade over the actual play equipment though.

Surface: Colored rubber surfacing.

Can you spot the tree climbers?

Age Recommendations: All ages up to 12 will find ways to enjoy this playground! With the rubber surfacing, it is easy for those young walkers, even crawlers on cool days, to get around and they will especially love the accessible playhouse.

Need another great playground for little ones? Check out Maple Grove Park and it’s adorable garden-themed toddler play area!

Swings: There is only a disc-shaped swing at Fairmount Park. Note that it is pretty low to the ground so it’s best to sit with legs pulled up, and even more fun with a friend!

Water Features: None.

Don’t forget to take along some of our park favorites!

Unique Features

There are an abundance of new, unique features at Fairmount Park in Golden. As you can see below, there is a dome that kids can play in or climb on, as well as unique block steps and rope obstacles.

Also unique are the slides! First, there is the Mighty Descent, a giant slide that can fit multiple kids at the same time. Of course I had to take a trip down with all of my girls and it was so much fun! Also unique is a slide that allows kids to scoot over at the end if they need more time to get off and let the next child come down. This is a great feature for accessibility and inclusive play!

Surrounding Area Highlights

Fairmount Park is home to a large grass field for soccer games, equestrian arena, horseshoe pits, and it has a beautiful view of North Table Mountain. There is also a 0.5 mile walking path complete with fitness stops along the way, making it a great park for all ages to get in some exercise and fun.
