Loveland’s Garfield Park (aka Junior Achievement Park) delights!

Did you know that Loveland’s Junior Achievement Park is now called Garfield Park? It is worth knowing both names though because you’ll see this park referred to differently depending on where you look. Regardless of the name, this park was a fun stop in our tour of Loveland and each of my girls would recommend it.

Address: 1010 W 10th St, Loveland, CO 80537

Bathroom/Shade: Unfortunately no bathroom is available and very little shade. A small pergola is there, however, no benches or chairs underneath (or anywhere!). Don’t forget to take your sunscreen (have you tried our favorite?) and hats!

Ready to hear an awesome fact about Garfield Park? It was built in 1 day by 300 community volunteers! Check it out at:

Age Recommendations: Ages 5 and up. Outside of the baby swings and slide, very little of the playground will work for those younger than 5. There are large gaps in the bouncing bridge and the majority of the park is monkey bar type of equipment.

Unique Features

There are a few features that make Garfield Park (Junior Achievement Park) in Loveland stand out. The first is the Scavenger Hunt! If you haven’t seen one of these yet, you have to find the hidden pictures somewhere on the playground. The girls had a great time searching for the items – can you spot the fish?

Another feature that’s unique for Loveland is the glider. Sadly, it didn’t glide smoothly but the girls had fun swinging it across anyway. Finally, my oldest daughter’s favorite part was all of the climbing bars. The dome she’s climbing below was quite high!

Surrounding Area Highlights

Garfield Park is located two blocks south of Lake Loveland. Just a short drive and you will see the beautiful view! You can also visit the Dwayne Webster Veterans Park (known locally as the “cannon park”) that was completely updated in 2019.

Just a heads up – “Beware of Dog” and “No Trespassing” right next to the park.
