The new playground behind the Lake Arbor Center is wonderful for young ages. The lake theme is incorporated through the ship-shaped play structure, bouncing dolphin and colored rubber surfacing. It is also an inclusive playground creating a perfect place for all abilities.
NOTE: This is NOT the same as Lake Arbor Park! These two playgrounds are both lake themed and within a few minutes of each other. For a perfect day for all ages, make it a double playground day and visit both!

Address: 7451 W 83rd Way, Arvada, CO 80003
Bathroom: No bathroom available.
Shade: There are large shades above one of the play structures and above some sensory play panels.
Surface: I loved the lake-themed rubber surfacing with its starfish and hammerhead shark!
Age Recommendations: This is a fantastic playground for toddlers to mid-elementary school ages! The lake theme provides an adorable dolphin bouncer and ship structure. Older kids might not find as much to do here, so make sure to have a double park day and visit Lake Arbor Park just a few minutes away!
Inclusive Features: The rubber surfacing is always a favorite feature when it comes to easier accessibility. Lake Arbor Center Park also has many sensory play panels, musical instruments, roller bar slide and lots of space to spread out. You can see below the accessible chair swing as well.
Swings: You will find two traditional belt swings, two baby swings, an accessible chair swing and a swing made for a parent/tot duo!
Water Features: None.
From the picture below, you can see a number of features designed for younger ages and inclusivity. There is an area of musical instruments, a large shade over some game panels and a low-to-the-ground table.
Did you know that a roller slide like the one below is designed to help children with Cochlear implants can slide safely? They are fun for all and don’t create the build up of static electricity like the more traditional plastic slides.
This is the perfect park for young ages that want to try everything! There are monkey bars lower to the ground, elements to climb, and ways to test your balance – a great use of space between structures.
Unfortunately, the pool next to the playground is closed for the 2023 season. Stay tuned to https://apexprd.org/facility/lake-arbor-center-outdoor-pool/ for updates on if the pool can get the necessary repairs for re-opening in the future.
