Swing through Summer at Longmont’s NEW Carr Park Playground!

For the next trip you take to Longmont, Carr Park needs to be on your agenda! This completely updated playground is a blast for all, adults will be out enjoying the fun too!

Address: 1301 21st Ave, Longmont, CO 80501

Bathroom: Yes! There is a bathroom building with running sinks and hand dryer. No soap though so make sure to take along some hand sanitizer or wet wipes 😉

Shade: There are some large trees along the south side of the playground providing shade for watching and picnicking. The pavilion nearby also has some shaded tables.

Looking for another great playground in Longmont? Check out one of our favorites, Kanemoto Park!

Age Recommendations: Up to 12 (or any age, that swing zipline is fun!)

There are two play structures, one for ages 2 to 5 and the other for ages 5 to 12. The younger ages will love that there are swings (including an accessible chair swing), sand area and games like tic tac toe.

Unique Features of Longmont’s Carr Park

I better start with what had the kids screaming excitedly from the minute we got there – the swing zipline! We have seen only one other like this at Nottingham Park in Avon, Colorado. It will be so nice having one closer to home!

As you can see from the pictures, the swing goes around a loop and ends back at the play structure. The ramp to pull the swing back up is quite steep so you, or an older sibling, may be needed to help.

Another unique feature of Carr Park is the “Ten Spin“. This merry go round is unique in itself as it allows up to 10 kids of all abilities to sit, stand or kneel as they spin.

My kids absolutely love this playground at Carr Park! The colors are appealing, the slides give a thrill and there are many climbing options as well.

Surrounding Area Highlights

Carr Park provides a great place for Longmont families to enjoy time together. There is an inline hockey rink, basketball and tennis courts, and a large field for soccer or frisbee!

Don’t forget to Pin for later!
