Ya Ya Farm and Orchard

Starting our list is Ya Ya Farm and Orchard for its apple-inspired fun and flower gardens. The Ya Ya Farm has a large apple orchard so it is the perfect spot to get many types of apples, but also apple jam, apple cider, apple pie and even apple cider donuts! This is the perfect spot to get some gifts and support a local family business. Ya Ya Farm also has “U-Pick Flower Gardens” with large Dahlias, Zinnias, and flowers of every color. Complete your trip with a visit to the horses, donkeys, chickens, and peacocks!

3M Farms

If you’re looking for a smaller place to take your children for some pumpkins, fall flowers and photo opportunities, 3M Farms is a great choice! This family farm located on the northern side of Erie is wonderful for a quick trip as it has no entrance fee. At 3M Farms, you will have your choice of many varieties of pumpkins, including a large amount of small and fun-shaped gourds for just $1! In addition, there are beautiful fall mums and Denver daisies for sale and decorative items such as straw bales, corn husks and more. Your family will also love seeing the chickens and two young cows on the property!

The Bee Hugger Farm pumpkin patch and fall activities are sure to bring joy to the whole family. There are a variety of animals to visit including the expected (goats, sheep) and the unexpected (mini horse, peacocks, and baby peachicks). This historical farm has vintage trucks, tractors to climb on and they even have haunted VW bugs at this time of year. “Honey Harvest and Happiness” is the motto at The Bee Hugger Farm so don’t forget to visit the yellow VW bus for some honey to take home.

By far the largest farm on our list, Anderson Farms has it all! Home to the longest running, 25-acre corn maze and 70 different kinds of pumpkins, squash and gourds, this is a yearly tradition for many Boulder County families. You should definitely plan to spend a few hours at Anderson Farms to experience the activities such as the pumpkin launch, barrel train, pedal cars, jump pads and pumpkin patch. There are also animals to visit, two playgrounds and a “krazy rainbow maze” for the younger visitors. For those looking for a more thrilling visit, Terror in the Corn and Zombie Paintball Hunt are back again this year.
Cottonwood Farms

Cottonwood Farms is easy to find, has a bit of everything and is a wonderful spot for a family outing. You will find a pumpkin patch, 4-acre corn maze, straw bale maze and many great photo spots. Making it unique are the vintage tractors and farm equipment on display, weekend wagon rides, and locally made honey for sale! Your kids will love visiting the animals at Cottonwood Farms as well. There are bunnies, sheep, goats, chickens and teenage cows!

The activities at 7th Generation Farm get better every year! Aside from the pumpkin patch, corn maze and hay bales, there are many unique aspects that should add 7th Generation Farm to your fall bucket list. Your kids will love the castle hay bale maze, sack races, pedal cars and small tractor rides! There are also a variety of animals to visit including chickens, turkeys, horses, and goats. Complete your trip with local food sold at their farm store. They offer meat (beef, pork, lamb, goat), vegetables, honey, and even fresh pumpkin bread made with all local products from the farm!
