Enjoy TWO Fantastic Playgrounds at Rainbow Park in Silverthorne!

If you have plans to drive to the Colorado mountains any time soon, add Rainbow Park to your list of places to stop! This park in Silverthorne is one of the largest we’ve seen in that area and has something for everyone. If it’s too snowy to play, Rainbow Park even has a great sledding hill! Keep reading to see why we love BOTH playgrounds at Rainbow Park and recommend it to all needing a rest stop along I-70.

Rainbow Park Playground #1

If you’re wanting the WOW factor, Rainbow Park’s main playground is a great stop! There are tall slides, and maybe more thrilling, there is a high tunnel (seen in the title image) too.

Age Recommendations: All! There is a separate play structure, bouncers and large sandbox for the younger ages. The older kids will love the high equipment, climbing options and the extra amenities!

Swings: There are 2 baby swings and 2 traditional swings. It did appear that another type of swing had been there, but was taken down. Let us know in the comments if you see it fixed!

Unique Features: We loved the mountain cabin feel throughout this playground. There was a bear-shaped bridge between structures, bumblebee and ladybug bouncers, cabin walls and treetops overhead. Additionally, Rainbow Park’s main playground has balance steps, a steel cable pyramid and has many ramp accessible features as well.

Rainbow Park Playground #2

To our delight, we found a second fantastic playground just a short walk from the first. This Rainbow Park playground has a castle theme, adorable colors and, our favorite playground feature, a scavenger hunt!

Age Recommendations: This is a playground for younger ages as everything is lower to the ground and approved for ages 2 to 5. Older siblings will still enjoy the scavenger hunt and swings though.

Swings: There are 2 baby swings and 2 traditional swings.

Unique Features: This bonus Rainbow Park playground has a Scavenger Hunt! Small emblems are installed around the playground (like the gold crown below) making it a fun way to explore the park and you can even make it into a game. Additionally, this playground has butterfly-topped steps, bouncers, spinners and tunnels.

Surrounding Area Highlights

There is so much to do at Rainbow Park in Silverthorne! Aside from the playgrounds, there is a very large skate park, at least four sand volleyball courts, tennis/pickleball courts (enough that a tournament was going on when we visited!), and a basketball court.

If you go during the winter, there is a great spot for sledding as well!

Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine. Now it’s time to get out there and PLAY!

Don’t forget to Pin for later!
