Designed for young children and the neurodiverse community in Colorado, The Sensory Spot in Parker offers a place to play without the stimulation of typical high energy play places. With its sensory activities, creative development and full line of sight floorplan, this is a perfect place to take your children to socialize and play.

**TIP: There is a 25 person capacity at The Sensory Spot so the best plan is to check their “Live Occupancy Tracker” here or call ahead before making the trip.
One aspect of The Sensory Spot that I fell in love with were the walls! The walls are covered with different options for the kids to touch and interact with, including a “Texture Wall”, chalkboard, whiteboard, velcro wall, double-sided sequins and more. Many of the different parts are changed out often so it won’t always look or feel the same.
When you arrive, you will love that everything is in view! The front entry is gated off so you don’t need to worry about your little ones accidentally leaving and the space provides full line of sight no matter where you are. You can actually sit and chat with another parent while watching your child’s movements – I wish there were more parks that offered this benefit!
Sensory tables and tactile bins line the middle of the room with activities that rotate weekly. You will find themed activities that help with cognitive, goal-oriented skills as well as fine motor skills.
Among the wall boards is a felt story board. Each week a different story is chosen and The Sensory Spot has paired with a company to provide matching felt pieces to go along with the story.
There are so many activities to be found at The Sensory Spot! Whether your child wants to visit the library in the corner, play with the fidget toys, take on art projects, or watch the fish inside the bubble tube, there is something for all ages and all abilities.
There is such care taken in providing a space for all needs. There are noise-cancelling headphones, “black out tents”, personal fans, weighted lap pads, and a variety of comfy seating. Every child will feel seen with their needs met while they are there.
Before you visit The Sensory Spot, make sure to check their Live Occupancy Tracker” here or call ahead to verify the capacity hasn’t been met. Also, keep an eye on their additional events available like Mommy and Me Yoga, low sensory movie nights, visits from therapy dogs and more options coming soon.
