Unleashing Joy: How Warrior Playground Transforms Fitness into Fun for Kids
Let’s bring more playfulness into our child’s fitness at Warrior Playground! You will be in absolute awe when you see the “Enchanted Ninja Forest” with its treehouse and bridges overhead. The 60ft hand-painted mural of mountains and trees is gorgeous too!
It is not your typical ninja warrior gym! Yes, they have many ninja warrior style obstacles and competitive team options, but what you’ll notice is that they’ve created a place where kids AND adults can build strength while experiencing joyfulness and fun. Keep reading to see why you and your whole family will love Warrior Playground!

How To Get Started
If this looks amazing for you or someone in your family, the best way to get started is to jump right in with lessons, do a trial lesson with your age group, or attend Open Play. There are opportunities for pretty much everyone, starting at age 4, beginner friendly and small group sizes.
Lessons will focus on skill growth, but on a deeper level, the students will learn:
- Growth mindset, progress over perfection, tenacity and failing forward
- Moving is fun and feels good
- Building confidence & overcoming fears

Spend Your Next School Day Off Here!
Warrior Playground aligns with the St Vrain Valley school district and offers school break camps! Whether it is a random Friday off or winter/spring/summer break, they have you covered.
I love that the camps are designed for ages 5 to 13 of all abilities and cover the hours of a regular school day. Replacing a normal school day with a couple hour or half day camp always turns into so much more work on a parent! Camp days will not only include learning ninja warrior skills and challenging their balance, strength and agility, they will also play games, do arts and crafts, and meet new friends.

Open Play?
Open gym, sometimes called “open play”, is also a way to try out Warrior Playground. “The Ninja Arena, Parkourner, Ninja Forest, Air Bag, Exercise Room (age 13+), and Climbing Walls are all open for ages 5+ to explore. There is a host on the floor, but no structured lessons. Children age 8+ may be dropped off; an adult must supervise on the floor children age 5-7. However, you may want to book an Open Gym Private Orientation & Mini-Lesson for those who are inexperienced or unfamiliar with Ninja obstacles.”
In my experience, I would recommend a trial lesson or orientation first before attending an open gym. There are so many opportunities within Warrior Playground, but if you don’t know what they’re for or how to start, your child will end up on the same things over and over.
Party at the Playground!
Have you been to a party where the children arrive and immediately are all over the trampoline place or indoor playground? You spend an hour watching your kid run wild and spend zero time with the friend that invited them? That is not the case here!
Warrior Playground hosts “coached” birthday parties to keep the party guests safe, entertained and together! They will play games and learn new skills, all while spending time with their friends.
What About Me?
Ok, so you sign your child up for some lessons at Warrior Playground, what is there for you? For starters, there is a large area at the front for spectators and parents with cozy couches and counter high seats. You can relax or get some work done and there are snacks and drinks available for purchase.
Instead of just waiting, why not show your kids that fitness is for all ages and join an adult lesson at the same time?! There is a large weight room in the back of Warrior Playground for strength training on your own. There is also the option for small group ninja training for 13+ in the main area. For adults looking for extra support and accountability, they even offer a Personal-Trainer led 6 Week Transformation Challenge and private workout sessions.
