6 Reasons You Need a Water World Season Pass this Summer!

I remember being so excited about Water World days when I was a kid! We would go for a special occasion, when friends were visiting from out of town, my birthday…and it never got old. I loved it then and I love it now with my kids.

We’ve had fun with grandparents, we’ve had fun with a baby cousin in a swim diaper, we’ve had fun meeting teen friends, we’ve had fun there as a family. Water World is my favorite spot in Colorado every summer. Keep reading to see why we think getting a season pass (ie Splash Pass) is a great option for you and your family!

#1: Go Any Time, Any Day, For As Long As You Want!

Water World opens the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and stays open until mid-August (and weekends only through Labor Day). With a Water World season pass, you can visit any day you want and for as many days as you want!

If you’ve lived in Colorado for a while, you know that summer days can be all over the map weather-wise. It can be 100 degrees or 60 degrees or sunshine then a sudden rainstorm, all which makes it great to be able to come late or leave early.

#2: You Can Take in a Cooler & Get a Discount on Food!

Water World is one of very few amusement parks where you can bring in your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. This is so nice when you’re taking your family and need snacks along the way or don’t want to spend more during your day of fun. You are allowed to take in a 24″x17″x17″ cooler so you can enjoy a picnic wherever you decide.

The cooler is allowed regardless of the type of pass, but with a Splash Pass, you are given 20% off food, drinks and merchandise! You can load money onto your families wristbands so they can purchase their own or go with friends, making it easy and less pricey.

#3 Multigenerational and Great for the Whole Family!

With the variety of attractions at Water World, you can find something for everyone. There is definitely a lot of walking to see the whole place, but if you’re able, you’ll love all of the options. We love going as a family and the grandparents have had a great time going too! It is so special to see the faces of your grandkids as they experience the “Lost River of the Pharoahs” ride for the first time or slide down their first slide at Wally World.

#4 Free Parking!

How often do you get to a destination to find that even though you’re paying for a ticket, you still need to pay for parking?! Hidden costs are very frustrating, but luckily at Water World, there are huge parking lots that are free to all.

#5 Late Hours and Early Opening Hours!

There are a couple of options for Water World season pass holders. With the Elite Splash Pass, you can enter the park before general admission to enjoy a few rides before everyone else arrives! With the Elite and Preferred Splash Passes, there are days you can stay an hour or more after closing. There are definitely some favorite rides with long lines during regular hours that make those pass-only times very worthwhile!

#6 So Many Spots for Little Ones and Early Swimmers!

I get asked often what you can do with very young children at Water World and the answer is surprisingly, a lot! I am a mom of three so I know that taking kids to anywhere with water can be scary, but there are many spots with low water levels and nearby lifeguards.

Our favorite spots for little ones are Wally World, Caribbean Family Adventure (water playground area), the Fox and Beaver Tail slides and Turtle Bay. Bring along snacks, towels, and extra sunscreen!

**I would have one adult per non-swimming age child. It is a very large water park with constant movement so I’d recommend going with a friend or family member to help with additional children.

What’s you favorite reason for getting a season pass to Water World? I can’t wait to see you all there!

Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine. Now it’s time to get out there and PLAY!
