Which Colorado Playgrounds are Open?

Last update: 6/18/2020 Open – Boulder, Aurora

If you’re a playground-loving family like us, the stay at home orders have been tough! For years we’ve spent our summer days traveling to parks across Colorado, sharing our favorites with others. While this time home has been wonderful, we are ready to get back out there and play (safely, of course 😉 )!

Below, you will find a list of which Colorado playgrounds are open, anticipated opening dates and a list of those undecided/unknown. Please note that this is not a complete list so we ask you to add a comment or email us at slidesandsunshine@gmail.com if you have updates to share!

Safety Tips for the Playground

Keeping our children safe is always a priority, but during these times of COVID, please take extra precautions. Here are a few tips to help you prepare:

  • Take the following with you: hand sanitizer, wet wipes, and masks.
  • Talk to your child prior to going about the importance of not touching their face and mouth during play.
  • Keep your distance from other groups. We like to go to smaller, neighborhood parks to avoid large crowds. (If you need a suggestion, let us know!)
  • Follow signs posted, each county/town may have different rules.
  • Stay home if anyone in your family isn’t feeling well.
  • Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Additionally, there is great information at the following link from Voice of Play.
