New Inclusive Playground at Secrest Park in Arvada!

Just wait until you see all of the features of the new and improved Secrest Park in Arvada! Designated as a National Demonstration Site for its inclusive playground, there is sure to be something there for every person in your family to enjoy. Pack up a lunch, gather some friends and check it out!

Secrest Park Logistics

Address: 6850 W 66th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003

Bathroom: No, however, Secrest Park is behind Secrest Recreation Center so there should be a restroom available there. We visited the park on a Sunday when the Recreation Center was closed.

Shade: Yes, as you can see from the picture below, there are large canopies over the main play structure. There is also a pavilion with picnic tables available.

Surface: Rubber pour-in-place surfacing.



Age Recommendations: Ages 2 to 10 will enjoy this park! There are ramps throughout and rubber surfacing making it easy for new walkers, as well as musical features and low slides. The older ages will like the taller slides, rope climber and other sports available.

Swings: None.

Water Features: None.

Unique Features of Secrest Park

Secrest Park in Arvada has been designated as a National Demonstration Site for PlayCore for its inclusive playground. Most noticable are the long ramps in the play structure as well as the many sensory panels and games along the way. There is also an inclusive merry go round that welcomes wheelchair access!

The older children will like the steep turns of the double slide and the spinning cone.

Surrounding Area Highlights

Near the playground at Secrest Park, you’ll also find basketball courts and an inline hockey rink, complete with a large Colorado Avalanche logo! You can also extend your day by visiting the Secrest Recreation Center.
