Enjoy Nature-themed Play at this Aurora Park!

The nature-inspired play theme is popping up all over Colorado and this Aurora park was a pleasant surprise! At first we thought there wasn’t even a playground at Nome Park as we looked across the football practice fields and parking lot, but luckily we kept circling and found this hidden gem.

Unique Features of Nome Park

We love the use of logs and ropes to create these play structures and obstacle courses! The play events will challenge each age group and build confidence as they try new ways to adventure.

As you can see from the pictures, there are many obstacles, multi-seat spinner, a log seesaw, balance beam and raised rubber-surfaced bumps. There is also a sand-filled rock park off to the side allowing children to jump from log to boulder and enjoy an even more natural environment.

Have you been to the amazing High Prairie Park yet? It is amazing and your kids will love it!

Surrounding Area Highlights

Just a small walk will take you to the Nome Park Fitness Zone! There is a variety of equipment to help you get some exercise while the kids play.

You will also find a huge sports field and basketball court.

  • Yes! My children love to hang out in Nome Park. They also love to use ropes and logs to make play structures and some obstacle courses. The best part about this park is the play events that challenge every age group and help them establish confidence as they try new ways to explore and adventure. Another thing we love about this park is that only a few strolls will take you to the Nome Park Fitness Zone. It’s such a wonderful park, to be honest.
