The girls and I took a day trip to Brighton, CO and visited 5 parks – it was a bit ambitious for sure! After all was said and done though, a clear favorite was shared by us all…

Brighton Park is farm-themed and sits just north of the Brighton Recreation Center. The girls were in awe as we drove up and I had to pull them away when it was time to leave!

Address: 555 North 11th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601

Recommended Ages: All! Any kid that enjoys playgrounds will find something here. The ramps and adorable farm animals make it perfect for the littles, and the three story slides add thrills for the older kids.

Unique Features: The variety of slides at this playground stand out above the rest. Two 3 story slides, an open mouth slide (I’m not even truly sure how it works!) and many small slides surround the structure. There was also a large variety of swings with a circular disc, a ‘parent and me’ swing, accessible chair as well as both regular and baby swings.

‘Parent and Me’ swing on left allows you to sit and swing too!

There’s an App for that! We downloaded the Biba playground app that was advertised at the park and the older girls loved it. One relay game in particular had them racing for equipment before time ran out. Such a fun use of technology to increase outside play time!

The girls took turns racing to beat the clock!

Good to Know: The only frustration I heard from parents at the park was that for them to enjoy a shaded seat while the kids played, they had to sit at the large pavilions. This area is huge and provided a lot of tables, however, it makes seeing half of the park impossible (including the swings and pond behind). Also good to know – there’s a bathroom building! I’m not sure of the reason but there were no stall doors in the women’s restroom…

Don’t forget to bring along sunscreen (have you tried our favorite yet?), snacks (plan to be there a while!), water and/or Rehydrate, and your iPad or phone to play the playground games.
