I was thinking about fantastic, well-rounded playgrounds that I haven’t written about and Dad Clark Park in Highlands Ranch jumped to my mind! This park has something for everyone with its play equipment, shaded sand play, basketball court, walking paths and more. Keep reading to see what else awaits when you pull up to Dad Clark Park!

Address: 3385 Astorbrook Cir, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126
Bathroom: Yes, there is a restroom available!
Shade: Yes, Dad Clark Park in Highlands Ranch has more shade than most. There are shape canopies over some of the play structure, a large canopy over the sand play area and many trees for picnics!
Surface: Rubber surfacing throughout makes for easy accessibility.
Age Recommendations: The equipment is built for ages 2 to 12 and is arranged in a great way for kids of similar ages to play together. There are separate small structures, like the one shown above, for the younger kids, and a higher slide structure for the older kids. The scavenger hunt will entertain all ages!
Inclusive Features: Dad Clark Park has some great inclusive features for kids of all ages and abilities. There are small playhouses, an accessible chair swing, musical panels and rubber surfacing throughout.
Want to visit another incredible playground in Highlands Ranch? Check out Plum Valley Park! It is a rare playground where it has inclusive features, thrilling slides and a play structure for crawlers and early walkers!
Swings: You will find two traditional belt swings, 1 baby swing and 1 accessible chair swing.
Water Features: The sand play area has a running water feature, but no splash pad. If you are looking for somewhere close to play this summer, visit Civic Green Park with its three different water features!
I love the focus that was placed on kids of all ages. The younger ones, 2 to 5, have so many places to play, which can be great during times it is crowded. There is a separate duck bouncer, playhouses, sand box area, and smaller slides available.
The older children will have a blast exploring the play structures! There are tall slides, a high tunnel overhead, many ladders and climbing options and a large rope spinner.
My personal favorite feature of Dad Clark Park…the scavenger hunt! These never get old for our family. The panel below shows the different shapes to look for and the second picture shows the small clock emblem hidden near the sand pit. You can keep things exciting by not just finding them, but turning it into a race or obstacle course.
There is a basketball court, a pavilion with grills, grass baseball field and a lot of open space to enjoy when you visit. Plan ahead and make a day of fun with your whole family at Dad Clark Park!
Along with your family, bring your pups as well for some fun at the Digger’s Dog Park. You’ll see the sign immediately at the parking lot, but there is a bit of a walk to get there.
