The Slide at the Denver Premium Outlets Playground…Oh My!

A little over a year ago, the Denver Premium Outlets opened in Thornton, Colorado. Living nearby, I watched as the signs went up, hoping to see some favorite brands or exciting new stores. What I didn’t expect to see was the “oh my goodness that is way too high” slide and incredible play area!

The Denver Premium Outlets Playground…some may come for the shopping and stop to play, while others like me will come to play and stop to shop. 😉

Check out the height of the slide compared to my 5 year old (in pink shirt climbing up)!

Address: 13801 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80023 (The play area is located on the north side of the outlet shops)

Bathroom: There is a very nice bathroom area inside the outlet mall, near the middle of the playground. You’ll also find a drinking fountain and water bottle filling station – I wish those were available at every park!

Shade: The playground can get hot during summer days so because of that (and the crowds!) we recommend going early in the morning or on cooler days. There are some shaded areas for parents to hang out and nice chairs too!

Don’t forget to take along some of our park favorites!

Age Recommendations: This park is truly one for all ages! There are dinosaur bones, spinning tops and climbing obstacles for the younger ages. The older children will LOVE the high bridges and gigantic slide!

Note: This can be an incredibly crowded play area so while there are features for all ages, it might not be great for everyone at all times of the day.

See the full layout of the park in our video below:

Denver Premium Outlets Playground Unique Features

What can I say, this entire park is unique! The tall slide is what grabs your attention and the climb to get to the top is no joke. This will put a fear of heights to the test so fair warning, I’ve seen a few parents have to maneuver their way up for a rescue.

Second to the slide would be all of the obstacle-type features. Climbing the star shaped rope net or rope pyramid, balancing on the rubber belt bridges, and more bring out the ninja warrior in them all.

Surrounding Area Highlights: The Denver Premium Outlet mall includes some great shopping and eating options. Comment below with your favorite spot!

While you’re in the area, we recommend checking out the Northern Lights baseball-themed playground. It is only a few minutes away and will bring joy to any baseball loving family.

Thanks for visiting!

Christy
