Address: 120 Buffalo St, Dillon, CO 80435
Bathroom: Yes, there is a restroom building.
Shade: Not much shade over the equipment, but there are some shaded picnic tables. Many trees have been recently planted so this will be a fun one to watch as the years go by and seasons change!
Surface: Wood Chips.
Meet our Summit County expert, Kate Marrone! “I am a mountain mom of 3 kids, ages 6 and under. I am a full time real estate professional and have been in real estate in Summit County since 2008. I have helped hundreds of Colorado families find their home away from home in the mountains over the years. I am a local area expert about all things real estate and a great resource for all things Summit County, be it real estate, community, recreation, etc. I spend an exceptional amount of time doing real estate, and my spare time is filled with enjoying the mountains outdoors with my family – hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, dirt biking, ATVing, camping, fishing, gardening, snowmobiling, listening to live music, swimming at hot springs, etc. We are so lucky to call this mountain paradise our home!”
Age Recommendations: This is a wonderful park for the whole family! There are more adventurous elements for the older kids, such as the high-standing rope pyramid and climbing wall. The younger children have a separate play structure with short slide and sensory panels.
**Note for the parents of younger children: There is a gate near the top of the climbing wall (basically a cliff to the lower area) that doesn’t latch shut. Please watch your kiddos closely if they are playing in the upper area.
Inclusive Features: There are a couple sensory panels and the large disc swings, however the park is covered with wood chips making accessibility more difficult.
Swings: You will find three disc swings, two traditional belt swings and two baby swings at Dillon Town Park.
Water Features: None.
As the pictures have shown, Dillon Town Park has many unique play elements with a natural feel. I love how there are three different play areas to spread out and enjoy. Whether your child loves to climb ropes, like the pyramid below, or create the ultimate obstacle course, they are sure to love this playground!
There are so many different ways for kids to challenge themselves here. There is an awesome obstacle experience shown below, a wide rock climbing wall, and as you’ll see below, they can add in just about any sport they want!
The surrounding area should be it’s own highlight with how wonderfully Colorado it is! Mountains surround you as you play, walk the trails or relax with friends. Grab a few of your besties and meet them for tennis, pickleball, baseball, bocce, basketball, or even horseshoe!
