Colorado is home to some truly delightful farm‑themed playgrounds! You will find places where little farmers can climb into giant tractors, ride a bouncing horse, slide down barn structures, and even meet a friendly pig along the way. There’s even a few playgrounds with a scavenger hunt woven into the fun! These 12 playgrounds give Colorado kids endless ways to explore, imagine, and play outdoors.

Twin Silo Park is a Fort Collins favorite, especially with its iconic 50‑foot slide built between two towering farm silos. The playground is packed with climbing nets, bridges, and even a nearby creek that keep kids exploring for hours. I recommend this park for older children that won’t wander off, or know that you will get a lot of climbing and steps in that day with your little ones 😉 .

Farmstead Park‘s playground features a big red barn structure, slides, climbing areas, and plenty of imaginative details. It is a smaller park so easy to keep eyes on your kiddos and has so much shade for those hot days. Best of all, it has a scavenger hunt built in!

One of the first themed playgrounds we found in our local travels was this farm-themed play area at Brighton’s Recreation Center. My kids, and everyone there, loved the animals, tractor, and climbable hay bales and I appreciated the shade panels! The ramps and rubber surfacing made for easy mobility for all ages and abilities.

Britton Park is wonderful with it’s large chicken coop/red barn combo and large tractor. There is also a separate play area with bouncing horse for younger ages.

If you, or your children, are fans of the book “Charlotte’s Web”, you will definitely fall in love with Happy Meadows Park! With its adorable pig and giant spider, the pages of the story will come to life before your eyes.

For those in Northern Colorado, Barnyard Park is an incredible place to play! Not only does it have fun play features built into the barn structure, it also has animals, a zipline, climbable tires and a scavenger hunt!
Address: 5001 S Inca Dr, Englewood, CO 80110
Save this one for summer! The Belleview Park playground does not have a farm theme, however, it is home to the Englewood Farm, petting zoo and train! Also, plan for some water play if you visit during the summer and enjoy playing in the creek nearby.
Address: 901 S Fordham St, Longmont, CO 80503
Probably the oldest playground on our list, Willow Farm Park is great for time outdoors. There are play features you don’t see often, nature play nearby and the Alphabet Farm interactive art walk.
Address: 612-566 Starline Ave, Lafayette, CO 80026
Definitely a local favorite, Silver Creek Park is also known lovingly as “the chicken park” because of it’s climbable chicken and colorful eggs, as well as its chicken and egg scavenger hunt around the park! Climb through tractor tires, take a ride on the zipline, and roll (or sled!) down the nearby hill while you’re there. This park was actually built on the land that used to be home to the Nuoci Poultry Farm.

Aven’s Village at Island Grove Park is an inclusive playground I recommend over and over again. It is huge with an Old West theme, play features for all ages and abilities, zipline, musical instrument area, and more. During the summer, there is a great splash pad at the other side of Island Grove Park.

Westminster City Park is great for a mild, sunny day to enjoy some fun at the park. I say this because there isn’t much shade for the super hot days, but there are so many things going on near the park on spring/fall days! Every time we have visited, there are large model airplanes being flown over the grass-filled center of the park and kids run from all over to watch them land.
You can make it a full day by visiting the indoor pool at the City Park Recreation Center , playing some disc golf, or walking through the Armed Forces Tribute Garden.
