Exploring the Fun-Filled Golden Meadows Park in Fort Collins!

What an amazing surprise Golden Meadows Park in Fort Collins was to find! I love that it was a bit off the road, on the other side of the tennis court, with a fitness zone walk and meadow theme. The play area is nice and big with something for every age. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know before you arrive!

Garden Meadows Park in Fort Collins

Address: 4324 Mcmurry Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525

Bathroom: Yes, there was a portable restroom available.

Shade: No shade over the playground. There are a few shaded picnic tables and benches.

Surface: Wood chips and sandbox area.

Age Recommendations: Most ages will love this park! The surface is all wood chips so if you have a crawler, that might be tough, but for young walkers, there is a play treehouse, small seesaw and sandbox. The older ages will love the zipline, rope climbing structure and slides. Note that there are places within the large play structure that are very small and difficult for taller kids to climb through – it’s a bit tricky!

Inclusive Features: There is a chair swing and sensory features, like the treehouse shown above. There is no rubber surfacing for accessibility or ramps in the play structure.

Unfortunately, the zipline was taken down when we visited. If it is back up when you go by, please let us know on social media or in the comments below!

Swings: Golden Meadows Park in Fort Collins has 5 swings (1 baby, 1 parent/tot, 1 chair and 2 traditional belt).

Water Features: None.

Unique Features

Check out these climbing activities! This is no ordinary rope climber and in the background you can see the climbable blades of grass and sunflowers!

The playground has play elements spread out over the space and included adorable meadow-themed pieces like the treehouse and sandbox turtle.

To say the play structure is unique is such an understatement! Sticking with the “meadows” theme, there are flowers painted on and flowers overhead. The inside of the structure has some difficult-to-climb-through areas but overall was enjoyed by everyone there.
