Greeley’s Inclusive Playground Provides Fun for All!

Have you visited an “inclusive playground”? Chances are that the playgrounds near you are “ADA compliant” but there still aren’t many features made for kids of all abilities to enjoy. I love Aven’s Village in Greeley because it is truly inclusive, in other words, designed for ALL. The rubber flooring and ramps allow easy access for wheelchairs, the chair zipline and swings give everyone a turn, and the overall feel of the park is happy and playful.

Aven’s Village at the Island Grove Regional Park joins our list of best themed playgrounds in Colorado. Its “Old West” theme shines through in every direction you turn and it is absolutely worth your time to go see it!

Inclusive Playground Features

What better way to show the inclusive features of Aven’s Village Playground than with a video?! Watch below and don’t forget to subscribe to the Slides & Sunshine channel for even more fantastic Colorado playgrounds.

Always a favorite feature at any park for our family is the zipline! Aven’s Village has both a rope zipline and an accessible chair zipline.

Ramps! The rubber flooring and ramps throughout the playground make it easy for wheelchairs and kids of all abilities to join the fun. There are MANY sensory elements, musical features and games incorporated into the play structures as well.

Check out this musical section of the playground! Giant pipes, xylophone, drums and more will delight your little music makers.
