Best New Playgrounds in Loveland, Colorado!

Last week, we visited some of the recently updated playgrounds in Loveland, Colorado. It was a unique February weekend without snow (the next day hit 75 degrees!) so we made an afternoon of it! Before we started our park tour, we HAD to visit the Love Lock Sculptures at the Loveland Visitor Center! What a beautiful way to add to the local art as well as celebrate your love for others. When you visit, try and spot our #lovelock on the “L”!

Dwayne Webster Veterans Memorial Park

The first park we visited was a town favorite, Dwayne Webster Veterans Memorial Park. This playground is located just south of Lake Loveland providing a beautiful view of both the lake and rocky mountains. We enjoyed that there were features specifically made for ages 2 to 5, the tiny seesaw being my youngest’s favorite! There were also musical elements and hands down the bumpiest slide we’ve ever been down.

Best New Playground in Loveland for Elementary Age Children: Garfield Park

Not quite as new, Garfield Park was built in 2017, however it is still in great shape and the favorite of the day! With many climbing and high monkey bar features, this park is more designed for ages 5+. The best feature for all ages though was the Scavenger Hunt, giving joy as they raced to find each object. There is no shade or seating options so this is a great park for the spring or fall when it isn’t too hot. 😉

Fun fact – Garfield Park (formerly known as Junior Achievement Park) was built in ONE day by the community! For full review and address, visit here Garfield Park.
