Address: 254 Miller Street, Brighton, CO 80601
Bathroom: Yes, there is a small bathroom building. (Currently closed due to COVID-19)
Shade: Yes! There are two pavilions with picnic tables and there is also quite a bit of shade produced from the large trees next to the park entrance. The best time to go is in the morning before the sun is directly overhead.
Age Recommendations: Ages 2 to 10. My five year old loved the hidden monkey bars under the play structure and the hexagonal shapes to climb through.
Don’t leave Brighton without also visiting Veterans Park! Brand new with American theme, your older children will love it!
Colorado Park Unique Features
As crazy as it sounds, the rubber flooring was my favorite part. I was born and raised here and seeing my girls run around the Colorado flag brought me joy. I really wish I owned a drone to get a full aerial view, maybe next time!
Keeping with the theme, the rope pyramid has been named Mt Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado, and there is a “Welcome to Colorado” sign at the entrance.
My girls are spread out in age, however, they all found plenty to do here. Between the rope net spinner and monkey bar obstacle course, they were entertained the entire time.
Surrounding Area Highlights: In addition to the playground, you will find basketball and tennis courts (with brand new lighting) as well as a field for soccer.
There are many fantastic parks in Brighton to visit! We recommend that you check out Veterans Park (just a minute away from Colorado Park), Brighton Park (super cute farm theme) and Carmichael Park!
Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine! Now it’s time to get out there and PLAY!
Don’t forget to Pin for later!
