3 Reasons This is Our Favorite Park in Commerce City!
This park has been on our list to visit for about a year and I am so glad we can now share it with you. Turnberry Park was full of vibrant colors, created with all things flower garden and was overall the best park in Commerce City! We have already been talking about which friends live nearby so that we can go back with them (on a cooler day though 😉 ). Address: 10725 Wheeling St, Commerce City, CO 80022 Bathroom/Shade: There is a single bathroom building with running water and hand dryer! Unfortunately, there is no shade on the playground so going before it gets too hot or on…

Gather with Friends at Niwot Children’s Park!
If you’re looking for a park with nice shade and fun for all ages, here you go! Niwot Children’s Park is wonderful – we make sure to go every year! Address: 101-199 1st Ave, Niwot, CO 80503 This park has a bathroom building, covered tables and a drinking fountain! This post may contain affiliate links and while we may earn compensation when you click on the links, it is at no additional cost to you. Age Recommendations: My thought, ages 3 and up. The BRAND NEW Village East Park just opened in Windsor, Colorado and it is amazing! Everything about it screams obstacles, ninja skills and adventure. Address: 865 Park Edge Circle, Windsor, CO 80550 Age Recommendations: 5+. There are a few options for smaller children (swings, small slide, natural play features), but overall, I would recommend this park for kids at least 5…

Trains and a Troll in Breckenridge!
We only spent a couple hours in Breckenridge this past week, but what we found was worth the trip! The High Line Railroad Park and Train Museum was a hit among all of the kids. Not only was the playground amazing with its giant train structure and water tower slide, it also had an indoor train museum AND real trains! (Keep reading, there is also a giant Troll to be found nearby!) Address: 189 Boreas Pass Rd, Breckenridge, CO 80424 Age Recommendations: My thought, 4 and above. Climb the Moon at Star Meadows Park in Erie!
For my science loving 8 year old, this was high on her list to visit once she heard it had a moon theme! The girls loved that they could try climbing the moon, there were moon rocks to spin and a statue near the benches even showed the different phases of the moon. They also thought it was fun following the spiral path to be a human sundial! There was no shade on the playground but there is a large section of covered tables if you need a break from the sun. Also good to know, there is a portable bathroom right by the parking lot! Address: Flatiron Meadows Blvd,…

The girls and I took a day trip to Brighton, CO and visited 5 parks – it was a bit ambitious for sure! Treasure to be found in Silverthorne!
Whether you live in the mountains, plan a weekend trip or are just passing through, knowing where some great playgrounds are along the way is a must when you have kids. We came across Trent Park the last time we visited Silverthorne and the girls loved it! Address: 100 Willowbrook Rd, Silverthorne, CO 80498 Recommended ages: My opinion, ages 8 and under. This is an adorable structure but doesn’t have many thrills for the older kids. Unique Features: The Pirate theme to this park was well done complete with a ship, telescope, and treasure map. The feature that continues to be our favorite at a lot of newer parks though…

Calling all Lil’ Firefighters in Arvada!
The Arvada Volunteer Fire Fighters Park is one of our favorites because it is so true to its theme and is a great place to meet friends. The park has so many elements that scream firefighter that there’s nothing left to do but pretend to be some! Address: 9190 W 84th Ave, Arvada, CO 80005 Unique Features: We loved that the monkey bars were ladders, there were bells to ring and poles to slide down. There’s a three story tall covered slide that added some thrill and many different ways to climb up the structure. What to bring: The park has a large pavilion (available to rent here) that has…

For all of your little future astronauts, you have got to make a quick trip to Westminster, Colorado! Quail Crossing Park is a small playground in a neighborhood just off of 136th & Huron, but it will bring your kiddos so much joy! WHERE IS IT?? First off, I will mention that I have found THREE different addresses for this park! The most accurate (that I got from standing right where you park) is here.
