Let Their Lights Shine at Countryside Park!
You know those moments when you see your child’s eyes go wide as their imagination kicks in? That was what we experienced the first time we went to Countryside Park in Westminster!
“I’m the Captain!” “I’ll go check the lighthouse!” “Watch out for pirates!”
The theme is so well done that it’s almost impossible not to get straight into character.

Address: 10470 Oak St, Broomfield, CO 80021 This will take you to the Countryside Pool parking lot. The actual playground is a little walk to the east past the tennis courts.
Bathroom/Shade: During the summer, there is a bathroom inside the Countryside community pool building. However, if you go during non-open hours or through the rest of the year, the only bathroom option is a portable down the hill by the baseball fields.
For shade, there is a covered pavilion with a couple tables. The girls liked that there were some shaded components on the playground, like the inside of the lighthouse and small rooftop.
Age Recommendations: My opinion, up to 10/11 years of age. There is a nice toddler ship with small slide and two baby swings for the little ones. The older kids will love the lighthouse slide, monkey bars and nearby activities.
Unique Features: This park is amazing with its nautical theme! The first place every kid runs is usually the lighthouse, but another great feature is the large rocking boat (see top picture 🙂 )!
The theme was even incorporated into the climbing features. Check out this crashing waves wall!
Looking for another great park just minutes away? Check out the Jessica Ridgeway Memorial playground.
In addition to the playground, this area has sand volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts as well as two baseball fields. You can even make it a full day of fun and get a day pass to the Countryside pool to cool off!
