Check Out What’s New at Erie Community Park!

If you’ve been to Erie Community Park, you know that it was already a fantastic place with its playgrounds, soccer fields, tennis courts, skate park and ball fields. But why stop there?! Revolution Pumptrack

I’ve had many questions about when Erie Community Park would be completed because of one thing…the bike pumptrack! If you don’t already know, a pumptrack is created in a way that you shouldn’t need to actually pedal, your bike just keeps rolling as you go over hill after hill. This is going to be a favorite spot for so many!

There is a large sign by the entrance to give guidance so make sure to check that out first, but here are a few highlights:

  • The track is multi-directional, meaning that the first riders get to choose the direction and then those following need to go that same direction.
  • There are two “paths”, one for beginners and one for more advanced. Some of the drops are steep so encourage your littles to be careful while they’re figuring it out. I have no doubt that they’ll all love it in no time!
  • Don’t forget to take along your helmets ๐Ÿ˜‰

Playing catch shouldn’t come with a catch… At Wurth Chiropractic, we understand how frustrating it is to deal with pain. It keeps you from doing some of the things you enjoy. Riding your bike, hiking, yoga, etc. Everyone deserves to be able to have the ability to do the things they love free of pain and discomfort. Our goal is to get you out of pain and getting back to doing those things as quickly as possible!

Energy Awareness-Themed Playground

One of the most unique themes that we’ve seen…an energy awareness-themed playground! To see everything the park has to offer, take a trip up the 32 foot tall rope climber, “The Perch”. This picture does not do justice to how big this is…it has a capacity of 180 kids!

I love parks where you can learn while you play! Each play area is marked by its associated energy source. The yellow and orange spinning globe to the left of the rope climber represents the sun and its Solar Energy.

Shown above are the “Wind Energy” tunnel structure and the Geothermal area, complete with lava rocks! Below, you can see the Hydropower obstacle course dam and the Biomass grass climbers. These are not your typical plastic playground structures!

Dr. Brynn at Wurth Chiropractic is a BirthFit Leader which means she has tools, knowledge, and passion for prenatal, postpartum and women’s health in general. This personalized care with Dr. Brynn helps keep mama’s out of pain and keep moving to catch up with little ones or as you return to work!

“The Peak” Sledding Hill

Picture the slope below covered in snow and be ready for a thrill this winter! This sledding hill was constructed to face north (all with a north facing driveway know that the snow will be slow to melt ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) and we will also have a snow machine to make snow when conditions allow (consecutive below freezing temps). Another added bonus, heated steps will make it easy to climb to the top of “The Peak” for another trip down.

Reading Room

Erie Community Park has become the perfect place to take your work or reading outside. With its “Reading Room” areas, there are covered tables, curved rocks and turf seating for all to enjoy. A local artist is helping make the space even better and when you need to take a break, you can walk through the pollinator friendly garden!

Basketball Courts

There are two new, lighted basketball courts to enjoy! These are full-sized with adjustable hoops and will have similar timing as the skate park nearby.

And Don’t Forget About What Was Already There!
