If you haven’t been to the Hopper Hollow Park in Wheat Ridge, it’s time to check it out! We love a good themed playground and couldn’t wait to finally visit. You will find giant grasshoppers atop the picnic table pavilions, ladybug spots and the merry go round looks like a lily pad floating down the creek.

Address: 6351 W 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033
Bathroom: Yes, there was a portable available across a small grass field.
Shade: Some. There are two pavilions that cover picnic tables and the playground shades itself in a few areas.
Age Recommendations: I would recommend this park for children up to 10 years old. My oldest (age 12) enjoyed herself, but most of the equipment is low to the ground and there aren’t elements like climbing walls and monkey bars for those older.
Swings: Yes, there are 2 traditional swings by the larger play structure and 2 baby swings near the structure made for ages 2 to 5.
Water Features: None.

There are two play structures with the one pictured below made for ages 2 to 5. My youngest’s favorite part was the curved climbing wall – it bounces!
There are additional climbing options, everything from curved ladders to a rope climb to the “Critter Canyon” climber from Landscape Structures.
The playground takes up the majority of space at Hopper Hollow Park in Wheat Ridge, however this is also a small basketball court and grass field.
