Most Adorable Park in Golden (and fun for big kids too!)

Oh my goodness, after visiting 4 other parks in Golden, Maple Grove Park took the prize for best of the day! This park was recently redone and is absolutely adorable. What I loved most as a parent is that the park is like two semi circles (little kids on one half, big kids on other half) and a perfect SHADED set of benches and table in the middle. I could see all of the kids no matter where they were playing!

Address: 14600 W 32nd Ave, Golden, CO 80401

Age Recommendations: 0 to 12 years. This park is perfect for very young kids with bright colors and separate play area. There is no sand or wood chips making it nice for little ones to run, jump, crawl (and not try to eat anything!) For the older kids ages 5+, the other side of the park has a rope course with platforms to climb to and a tall spiral slide.

Always a favorite for all – it had a Scavenger Hunt! See that small red oval above the Nature Hunt sign? That’s the ladybug! Here are a few hints…the objects are hidden everywhere so don’t forget to check very high, look low and maybe even check some signs 😉

Unique Features (ages 0 to 5): I wish I could’ve recorded the girls’ faces as we pulled up to the park and saw this giant flower tree – pure joy! My 4 year old couldn’t contain her excitement and took off running to check it out. There are small slides, cute climbing options and E’s favorite spot was what she called “the office” (which I think was more like a storefront with a cash register and pay window).

Unique Features (ages 6 to 12): Ropes! The older section of the park has this large rope structure with platforms to climb to and bouncing rubber bridges to run across. My 8 year old called this park “the ninja warrior garden”, she loves all things ropes/ninja warrior/obstacle course. If you have older kids, surrounding the playground you’ll also find a baseball field, soccer fields and a sand volleyball court!

I have no doubt your kiddos will love this park! The tall trees provide great shade and there is something for everyone. I’d recommend bringing snacks (because you’ll be there a while) and covered toe shoes for the rope climbing.

We want to hear from you! When you visit, make sure to come back and comment with your favorite part!

  • Looking for a "solution" for a 10 foot x 10 foot space that can have a sandbox below - a climbing wall or net component would be fantastic.Please.

  • Perfect break for running around with our 7 and 10 year old between a trip to the Brass Armadillo and Golden. Thank you!
