5 Reasons to Visit the Parker Days Festival!

Today we attended the Parker Days Festival for the first time and, aside from the 97 degree heat, we had a blast! There were a ton of vendors, food trucks, and activities for the kids. We spent the most time at the carnival rides, the area for younger kids was perfect for us. Continue reading to hear the five reasons you should make your way to the Parker Days Festival too!

#1 The Carnival!

What says summer fun more than a carnival?! Even with the heat, my girls ran from one ride to the next and especially loved all of the different types of “fun houses”. There is a separate area for rides and activities for younger ages with everything from the carousel and mini roller coaster to bouncing jeeps and flying helicopters!

**Tip: Buy your carnival wristbands ahead of time online for a discounted rate 😉

For those looking for more of a thrill, the upper section of the carnival is where you should go! You’ll find rides that go upside down, rides that go fast and even a ride that is appropriately named “Freak Out!”

#2 The Food!

There were so many food options to choose from, especially in the music stage area. Of course you’ll find the more traditional “carnival foods”, but we also saw unique food trucks and gourmet desserts. My only wish was for more covered seating, at least we were able to find some trees to sit under along the way!

#3 The Music!

Live music runs throughout the Parker Days Festival so make sure to check the schedule and stop by to see your favorite local bands! The Main Stage is located in the H2O’Brien parking lot.

#4 The Culinary Demonstrations

Head over to the Parker Days Festival Culinary Demonstration Stage to watch local and regional chefs as they cook and share their secret techniques. There may even be some free tastes at the end!

#5 ALL The Hometown Fun!

What I love most about events like the Parker Days Festival is that is brings friends and neighbors together. This is a perfect time to meet up, enjoy music together and support all of the local business vendors!

Have you been to the Parker Days Festival? Shout out your favorite part in the comments and hope we see you there next time.

Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine. Now it’s time to get out there and PLAY!

Don’t forget to Pin for later!
