Best Space-themed Parks in Colorado

We know you’re excited to see #1 in our list of space-themed parks in Colorado, but first let’s share some INDOOR playgrounds for those chilly (or super hot) days!

Honorary Mention – Mars Outpost

Address: 14500 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80401

The Colorado Mills mall has some great stores, but it also has one of the two play areas created by the Denver Museum of Nature and Science! Mars Outpost is a space-themed indoor play area that is perfect for your toddlers and preschoolers.

Mars Outpost Golden CO

Your little ones will love climbing on the Mars rover, hiding in the crash-landed spacecraft and discovering planets overhead. Find the full review here and make it a stop on your next shopping trip: https://slidesandsunshine.com/indoor-playground-colorado-mills/

Honorable Mention – KidSpace

Address: 6805 W 88th Ave, Westminster, CO 80021

Another great indoor space-themed play area is KidSpace. We love that this isn’t just your typical indoor playground, it is like a playable museum! Everything is made with a space theme and you learn so much while you’re there, making it a win-win for parents and kids alike.

KidSpace Westminster CO

There are tables to sit and work while your children play or you can play alongside them (and it’s a great place for birthday parties as well). Our favorite features of KidSpace are the kid-sized planetarium and rocket launchers. And the #1 Space-themed Park in Colorado is…Quail Crossing Park!

Address: 13402 Kalamath St, Westminster, CO 80234

Hands down, this is our favorite space-themed playground in Colorado! The large space shuttle at Quail Crossing Park is breathtaking with its USA colors, “Space Kid” ladders and steep slide. The location is wonderful (only downside is no restroom available) as it is tucked into a quiet neighborhood in Westminster.

Quail Crossing Westminster CO

Your children will absolutely love this park! They will go into instant astronaut and mission controller mode and launch into space. Staying true to the theme, there is a large mission control board, flames coming out of each slide and bouncing spaceship disc – it is an awesome playground. Do you have another space-themed playground to add to our list? We would love to hear it! Share a picture or comment below and we’ll be sure to check it out.

Thanks for joining us at Slides & Sunshine! Now it’s time to get out there and PLAY!
