Just this month, as part of the “Taking Lasting Care” (TLC) program, the Rainbow East park was completely redone to provide a safer, more imaginative playground. Your kids can have a fun break from the car and you won’t even have to deal with crowded parking garages! It’s a win-win! The park is called Red Sandstone Park and has a style all its own with giant stick figures and clubhouse feel. Address: 5552-5564 Ziegler Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80528 Bathroom/Shade: There is a well kept, large bathroom building as well as water fountains. The kids…

Trains and a Troll in Breckenridge!
We only spent a couple hours in Breckenridge this past week, but what we found was worth the trip! The High Line Railroad Park and Train Museum was a hit among all of the kids. Not only was the playground amazing with its giant train structure and water tower slide, it also had an indoor train museum AND real trains! (Keep reading, there is also a giant Troll to be found nearby!) Address: 189 Boreas Pass Rd, Breckenridge, CO 80424 Age Recommendations: My thought, 4 and above. Most Adorable Park in Golden (and fun for big kids too!)
Oh my goodness, after visiting 4 other parks in Golden, Maple Grove Park took the prize for best of the day! This park was recently redone and is absolutely adorable. What I loved most as a parent is that the park is like two semi circles (little kids on one half, big kids on other half) and a perfect SHADED set of benches and table in the middle. I could see all of the kids no matter where they were playing! Address: 14600 W 32nd Ave, Golden, CO 80401 Age Recommendations: 0 to 12 years. This park is perfect for very young kids with bright colors and separate play area.…

Calling all Lil’ Firefighters in Arvada!
The Arvada Volunteer Fire Fighters Park is one of our favorites because it is so true to its theme and is a great place to meet friends. The park has so many elements that scream firefighter that there’s nothing left to do but pretend to be some! Address: 9190 W 84th Ave, Arvada, CO 80005 Unique Features: We loved that the monkey bars were ladders, there were bells to ring and poles to slide down. There’s a three story tall covered slide that added some thrill and many different ways to climb up the structure. What to bring: The park has a large pavilion (available to rent here) that has…
