How can you not feel at peace at such a gorgeous location overlooking Johnson Reservoir with an incredible view of the Colorado mountains?! Most Unique Playground in Colorado Mountains!
If you’ve been to Vail, you know that it’s more of a destination than a quick stop, but if you do happen to be driving through the mountains, we’ve found a perfect playground to visit! Your kids can have a fun break from the car and you won’t even have to deal with crowded parking garages! It’s a win-win! The park is called Red Sandstone Park and has a style all its own with giant stick figures and clubhouse feel. After a little research, we found that the town of Vail works with artists to create completely unique parks! We visited two other parks while we were in town and…

Let Their Lights Shine at Countryside Park!
You know those moments when you see your child’s eyes go wide as their imagination kicks in? That was what we experienced the first time we went to Countryside Park in Westminster! “I’m the Captain!” “I’ll go check the lighthouse!” “Watch out for pirates!” The theme is so well done that it’s almost impossible not to get straight into character. If you haven’t been to Fort Collins lately, I am going to show you why your kids will be begging for a trip there soon! Twin Silo Park is INCREDIBLE! I am calling it farm-themed because there are silos and a giant barn structure but that is really where the similarities end. We had never seen a park like this! This post may contain affiliate links and while we may earn compensation when you click on the links, it is at no additional cost to you. Address: 5552-5564 Ziegler Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80528 Bathroom/Shade: There is a well kept, large bathroom building as well as water fountains. The kids…

Fly with Peter Pan in Westminster!
Any time I’ve asked a group about parks to visit, Westminster Center Park or “The Peter Pan Park” comes up. Because of its easy to find location, splash park and fun theme, it’s a favorite among many. I love the attention to detail, making this truly feel like London and the world of Peter Pan. Address: 4801 W 92nd Ave, Westminster, CO 80031 Bathroom/Shade: There is a bathroom building so bring along a lunch and stay for a while. Limited shade over the play structures but there is more under pavilions and nearby trees. This post may contain affiliate links and while we may earn compensation when you click on…

3 Reasons This is Our Favorite Park in Commerce City!
This park has been on our list to visit for about a year and I am so glad we can now share it with you. Turnberry Park was full of vibrant colors, created with all things flower garden and was overall the best park in Commerce City! We have already been talking about which friends live nearby so that we can go back with them (on a cooler day though 😉 ). Address: 10725 Wheeling St, Commerce City, CO 80022 Bathroom/Shade: There is a single bathroom building with running water and hand dryer! Unfortunately, there is no shade on the playground so going before it gets too hot or on…

Trains and a Troll in Breckenridge!
We only spent a couple hours in Breckenridge this past week, but what we found was worth the trip! The High Line Railroad Park and Train Museum was a hit among all of the kids. Not only was the playground amazing with its giant train structure and water tower slide, it also had an indoor train museum AND real trains! (Keep reading, there is also a giant Troll to be found nearby!) Address: 189 Boreas Pass Rd, Breckenridge, CO 80424 Age Recommendations: My thought, 4 and above. We were there with an almost two year old and while she could walk through the play train, most of the features were…

Climb the Moon at Star Meadows Park in Erie!
For my science loving 8 year old, this was high on her list to visit once she heard it had a moon theme! The girls loved that they could try climbing the moon, there were moon rocks to spin and a statue near the benches even showed the different phases of the moon. They also thought it was fun following the spiral path to be a human sundial! There was no shade on the playground but there is a large section of covered tables if you need a break from the sun. Also good to know, there is a portable bathroom right by the parking lot! Address: Flatiron Meadows Blvd,…
